[/media-credit] - Volunteers and Refuge Friends are vital in helping the Fish and Wildlife Service achieve wildlife conservation and public outreach goals on our national wildlife refuges.
The National Wildlife Refuge Volunteer Improvement Act was passed by Congress and signed into law by President Obama on January 4th. The Act will increase opportunities for citizens to volunteer on our national wildlife refuges, and bolster efforts to develop a national strategy for coordinating volunteers.
