Ben Gregg
Ben Gregg recently retired from the South Carolina Wildlife Federation after serving 12 years as its executive director. He is a graduate of Presbyterian College, University of South Carolina Law School, and Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies. His career includes early stints in state government as the first Staff Attorney for South Carolina’s Coastal Zone Agency and as Director of Natural Resources for Governor Dick Riley. Several years were devoted to private law practice with a focus on environmental and administrative law before becoming a communications and public relations consultant for businesses and non-profits. He was appointed by Governor Jim Hodges to the governing board of the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources. He also has served on the South Carolina Nature Conservancy, Congaree Land Trust, Friends of Congaree Swamp National Park, Richland Cancer Center, and Greater Columbia Chamber of Commerce boards. Ben has taught courses on environmental law and policy at several colleges in the Carolinas.
