Born and raised in South Florida, Natalie has a deep connection to the region and a passion for wildlife conservation in their role as the South Florida Regional Partnership Specialist. With a background in business administration from Florida Atlantic University, she leverages her marketing and communication skills to build and maintain strong partnerships, expand community engagement, and support fundraising efforts.
Natalie is dedicated to breaking down barriers and fostering collaboration among all the diverse communities in the South Florida region. She works closely with the Arthur R. Marshall Loxahatchee NWR’s Urban Program and regional partners to create opportunities for people of all ages to connect with nature and become active stewards of the environment.
Natalie is a first-generation immigrant child and is proud of her hispanic heritage. Her fluency in Spanish allows for her to build stronger connections with community members that would otherwise present a language barrier.
The National Wildlife Refuge Association is thrilled to welcome Natalie Balaguer as our new South Florida Regional Partnership Specialist! Based in her home region, Natalie is already making waves across South Florida by reinvigorating partnerships and stewarding exciting conservation initiatives through the Urban Wildlife Refuge Program.
