These prestigious awards honor the extraordinary individuals who dedicate their lives to protecting and conserving the National Wildlife Refuge System. From refuge managers and tireless employees to passionate volunteers, dedicated Refuge Friends groups, and vocal advocates, we seek to recognize the remarkable achievements that make a difference for wildlife and wild places. Mark your calendars: Nominations are open as of February 7, 2024, and the deadline to submit your nomination is Monday, April 1st, 2024. Award recipients will be announced in May 2024 and will celebrated during the 2024 Wildlife Refuge Awards ceremony and celebration on Wednesday, September 18, 2024, in Washington, D.C.
