The power of community engagement can be seen in the growing relationship between a local business and the Friends of Tualatin River NWRC (OR). Langer's Family Entertainment, a local family-owned business in Sherwood, Oregon, features arcade games, laser tag, rock climbing, bowling, and so much more. The Langer Family believes in giving back to their community and are generous supporters of the Friends of the Refuge. On Monday, January 8, they hosted a Make-A-Difference Monday bowling event.

All bowling fees and shoe rental fees for the day were donated back to the Friends of the Refuge. Friends Board members, refuge staff, and Friends members faced off against each other in friendly competition and raised over a thousand dollars in one night!
